Ensuring access to a sufficient supply of high-quality water is a growing challenge as pollution and climate change take their toll. Deterioration of water quality is a direct consequence of anthropogenic pollution, mainly attributable to intense industrialization.

To support sustainable development and meet increasingly stringent environmental regulations, the next generation of engineers, scientists, and environmental managers will have to develop new environmentally responsible approaches to the management of wastewater.

The CREATE Program in Environmental Decontamination Technologies and Integrated Water and Wastewater Management (TEDGIEER) was established to train that new generation of professionals.
